Right now, you won’t find Chara’s Story active on any image-based social media site. Adolescence is a sensitive period of psychological and neurobiological development. Research suggests that social media use may have a role in the recent increase in adolescent suicidality. For youth ages 10-14, suicide is the second leading cause of death in the United States. According to the World Health Organization, suicide is the 4th leading cause of death among 15-19 years old globally.

It is, for this reason, we are deciding to create our digital media “safe-space” platform. With the framework introduced in Chara’s Story Inc., we seek to build our own using this holistic approach. Girls and guys…all will be able to grow from an unrealistic, unattainable measure of beauty to the truth about beauty -which sets one on a path of self-discovery.
